Two Research Bases in West and East Japan
Our Central Research Center engages in Product Development and assessment (on microorganisms, functionality, stability and safety), as well as in research on novel raw materials and other comprehensive matters. We established Utsunomiya Research Center, which adjoins Utsunomiya Factory 1, in January 2009. The Central and Utsunomiya Research centers are connected through an online network that allows them to share information instantaneously. In addition to these two research centers, our four production factories (Ueno Factory, Utsunomiya Factory 1 and 2, and Saga Factory) are always in close contact. This ensures quick and seamless development and trial production operations that meet your various needs and demands.

This comprehensive research center leads studies on new functional materials, develops products, and conducts various assessments in addition to other work.
Utsunomiya Research Center｜Tochigi

The center adjoins Utsunomiya Factory 1. It allows for smooth coordination between the development department and production site, so we can quickly execute everything from Formulation Development to trial and mass production operations.

Industry-University Collaborations
We work with companies, universities, and research institutes specializing in biochemistry, pharmacology, dermatology and biotechnology, to develop the next generation of raw materials, discover new functional formulations, and investigate unknown active ingredients. Through this, we work to create new value in the market.
